30-year-old Allen Roach, of Knoxville, was arrested and numerous narcotics were seized during a search warrant that was conducted at a Cedarwood Street home on Tuesday, April 22.

The search warrant was obtained as part of a still ongoing investigation into the February 2025 overdose death of a 23-year-old woman. The investigation is being led by the Knoxville Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit and Drug Related Death Task Force detectives.

A search of Allen’s Cedarwood Street home resulted in the seizure of approximately eight grams of cocaine, nearly 12 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, digital scales, and a loaded handgun.

Allen was subsequently taken into custody for schedule I and schedule II drug violations, maintaining a dwelling for drug use, and possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony.

The investigation into the February overdose death is continuing.
