The Knoxville Police Department is committed to engaging with the community and working in partnership with residents and stakeholders to solve public safety issues.
Below is a current list of upcoming community events for Knoxville residents.
On Monday, October 13, as part of National Faith & Blue weekend, the Knoxville Police Department is partnering with the Alliance for Community Transformation to host a community resource fair from 6-8 p.m. in the Jacob Building at Chilhowee Park. The event will include family friendly activities, Touch-a-Truck displays, youth performances and door prizes as well. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Faith leaders and East District residents are invited to attend the quarterly East District Commander Forum, which will be held on October 27 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on 1601 Dandridge Avenue.
East District Commander Nevin Long and his support staff will be there to discuss the district’s violence reduction efforts, ongoing crime trends in the district, crime prevention tips, answer questions and address the concerns of faith leaders and residents.
