Four Injured, Two Charged After Fleeing Traffic Stop on Monday Evening

Four people were injured and 35-year-old Bryant Page and 33-year-old Dyshawn McNeil were charged after they fled a traffic stop on Holston Drive Monday evening.

At around 7:45 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, officers pulled over a red Nissan Altima after observing it run a red light on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue at Fern Street. During the stop, the officer noted that the three occupants – Page, McNeil and an additional passenger – were acting suspiciously.

The officer returned to his vehicle to request backup when the Nissan sped away on Holston. Officers did not pursue the vehicle.

Less than a minute later, the fleeing Nissan struck a Toyota Sequoia head-on on Holston Drive near Ault Road.

The drivers of both the Nissan and Toyota had to be extricated from their vehicles by Knoxville Fire Department personnel. All involved were transported to UT Medical Center for treatment. Page was seriously injured but is expected to survive. All other occupants, including the female driver of the Sequoia, sustained injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening.

A search of the Nissan resulted in the discovery of two loaded handguns.

Both Page and McNeil are previously convicted felons and will be arrested upon their release from the hospital.

Page has been charged with convicted felon in possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, evading arrest and other charges. McNeil has been charged with convicted felon in possession of a weapon.
