UPDATE (August 12, 2025, 4:15 p.m.): Timothy Adam Lee, 46 of Knoxville, has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated domestic assault and interference with 911 following continued investigation into the shooting that happened this morning at an apartment on S. Gallaher View Road.
Lee was apprehended by members of the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and Maryville Police Department while leaving the Walmart on US-411 a short time after the shooting occurred.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld at this time and the investigation is continuing.

A man was killed and a suspect has been detained following a shooting that happened on Tuesday morning at an apartment on S. Gallaher View Road.
At around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to the Copper Pointe apartment complex on S. Gallaher View Road to investigate a shooting.
Officers arrived on scene and found a man who had been shot inside of an apartment. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
The suspect reportedly left the scene in a silver F-150 pickup truck. With the assistance of LPR technology, the truck was found a short time later in Blount County, where the suspect was located and detained.
The suspect has been transported to the Public Safety Complex and is currently being questioned by KPD Homicide Unit detectives. Charges are pending.
The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it progresses.
