Da’Kari Lloyd, 29, arrested following early-morning domestic assault

29-year-old Da’Kari Lloyd was arrested, two guns were seized and a large amount of narcotics were recovered after Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a reported domestic assault early Friday morning.

At around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, KPD officers responded to the 3500 block of Lake Brook Boulevard after it was reported that Lloyd had assaulted two women following a domestic dispute. Lloyd was taken into custody inside of his apartment, where officers saw two handgun boxes and a bag of white powder.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the apartment, and a subsequent search resulted in the recovery of over 370 grams of suspected meth, 100 grams of suspected fentanyl, a Glock handgun, an AR-15 and over $2,000 in cash.

Lloyd was taken into custody on multiple charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, domestic assault and schedule II drug violations.
