27-year-old Trevon Blair is being charged with second-degree murder following a deadly stabbing that happened Friday afternoon at a home on Ben Hur Avenue.
At around 3 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to the area of Kenner Avenue and Olive Street, where a woman who had sustained numerous stab wounds was found unresponsive. The victim was transported to the UT Medical Center, where she later died as a result of her injuries.
A crime scene was located at a home in the 300 block of Ben Hur Avenue, while a witness provided a possible suspect description.
Responding officers then quickly located and detained Blair a short distance from the scene of the stabbing on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.
Blair, the son of the victim, was questioned by Homicide Unit detectives and charges are pending for second-degree murder.
The circumstances that led to the stabbing are unclear, and the investigation remains ongoing.
