A woman died after she was struck by a vehicle on North Broadway at Walker Boulevard early Thursday morning.

At around 6:40 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a pedestrian-involved crash on North Broadway at Walker Boulevard. Witnesses reported the victim stepped into oncoming traffic without looking.

The driver told officers he did not see the victim and immediately stopped to provide aid until paramedics arrived.

The woman was transported to UT Medical Center and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time, pending next of kin notification.
