A motorcyclist died following a crash at the intersection of Tazewell Pike and Old Broadway. 

At about 7:20a.m. on May 15, 2026, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a Subaru.

The investigation determined that a Subaru was traveling southbound on Tazewell Pike, while the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Old Broadway when the two vehicles collided at the intersection. The circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation. 

The man driving the motorcycle died of his injuries.

The crash is being investigated by KPD crash reconstruction personnel. That investigation remains ongoing at this time.
