A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that happened on I-640 on Thursday night.

At around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, KPD officers responded to a crash involving a motorcycle on I-640 East near the Broadway exit.

The motorcycle driver was transported from the scene and pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the UT Medical Center.

Based on the investigation being led by KPD crash reconstruction personnel, it appears that the motorcycle swiped another vehicle for reasons that remain under investigation before colliding with the barrier wall. The other involved vehicle sustained minor damage, and the occupants were uninjured.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
