Know Your District

The Field Operations Bureau, previously known as the Patrol Division, is responsible for delivering the foundational police services to the residents of Knoxville. 

Field Operations services are managed across three separate districts – the West District, Central District and East District. Field Operations officers are assigned to one of the three respective districts and work collaboratively with residents to solve the unique and specific problems facing those areas. 

All Field Operations in each district are overseen by a Captain – a Command-level member of the Knoxville Police Department. 

Residents who have concerns or problems that need to be addressed should be directed to the District Commander who oversees the area where the issue is occurring or his or her support staff.
