Michelle Martin, 45, was arrested and charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in the Five Points neighborhood.

At around 12:45 p.m. on March 10, 2026, officers responded to a reported stabbing at the Five Points apartment complex in East Knoxville. The victim, a 53-year-old woman, told officers that she was confronted by Martin outside of the complex. Martin then allegedly retrieved a knife, chased the victim and attempted to stab her multiple times.

The victim suffered a knife wound to her back. She was transported to UT Medical Center for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
